The Long Beach Marine Institute is a division of NCC a non-profit organization. It includes an association of veteran marine biology and oceanography researchers and educators. Whales dolphins seals and birds all make incredible journeys to visit our coast. These journeys called migrations range from a few hundred miles to many thousands! Explore the nearby seas aboard Conqueror to seek out such travelers as the California Gray Whale the Bottlenose Dolphin the California Sea Lion and a host of migratory water fowl. Students will be introduced to these wandering wonders in a multimedia presentation by a marine naturalist and they’ll keep a record of their tour on a log sheet and chart provided. |
